How to take
Manuka Honey internally for a Sore Throat, Cold, and to strengthen the
Immune System:

Sore
Throat
|
As soon
as you experience a sore, dry or scatchy throat – don’t wait!
Take 1 teaspoon of Manuka Honey and let it melt slowly
in the mouth first, then swallow the honey to coat the
throat. Do not eat or drink 15 minutes after taking the
honey, in order for the honey to stay as concentrated as
possible for best results. If you still have a sore throat in an
hour or two, take your second teaspoon. Repeat this 4-5 times
a day. Diabetics need to consult with their doctor first
regarding the amount of honey they can half. In most cases,
diabetics can take half the amount, for example ½
teaspoon 3-4 times a day.

At the
first sign of a cold, take 1 teaspoon of Manuka Honey and
let it melt in the mouth first, then swallow to coat out the
throat. Do not eat or drink 15-20 minutes after taking the
honey, in order for the honey to stay as concentrated as
possible. Repeat 4-5 times a day throughout the day. Even
if you already have a cold, the Manuka Honey seems to help to
drastically shorten the time that you will have a cold.

Strengthen the Immune System |
To strengthen your immune system, take 1 teaspoon of
Manuka Honey every morning and 1 teasppoon every evening
all year long. “I haven’t had a cold in 8 years, thanks to the
daily use of Manuka Honey – this honey has truly helped
strengthen my immune system. I used to get a cold every time I
was surrounded by other people such as going shopping or going
to church. A couple of days after someone sneezed near me, sure
enough I got that person’s cold. I got so many colds throughout
the year, that my immune system became so weak. A friend of mine
told me about Manuka Honey. Since I am an extremely skeptical
person, of course I didn’t’ believe a word my friend said, that
this honey is supposed to destroy staph and strep all natural,
like a natural antibiotic. So I figured I’ll give it a try, if
it doesn’t work, at least it won’t do me any harm either. BUT,
it worked wonders! I haven’t had a cold in 8 years. Thank you

An Old Home Remedy made more effective
with Manuka Honey
Hot Honey-Lemon-Tea
Try to make this old home remedy more
effective and use Manuka Honey:
|
Heat
a cup of tea, add 2 teaspoons of Manuka Honey, add the juice of
a half a fresh lemon to help soothe a sore throat.
|
The advantage of using Manuka Honey
instead of regular honey for this traditional cold remedy, is that
Manuka Honey has an additional antibacterial property to hydrogen
peroxide called unique manuka factor (UMF). All pure, raw,
unpasteurized honey contains a certain degree of hydrogen peroxide a
natural antibacterial property, not the other unique manuka factor,
found only in manuka honey. When honey is added to very hot tea, the
hydrogen peroxide will be destroyed almost completely so it is only
slightly antibacterial. Manuka Honey is therefore more effective,
because, even if overheated, it still has a very strong additional
antibacterial property. This additional antibacterial property cannot be
destroyed by heat. So it makes sense to warm up tea, add manuka honey
and some fresh lemon juice, in order to benefit from both antibacterial
properties manuka honey contains.
